sculpture in marble and bronze

I am a sculptor working in white Italian Carrara marble and bronze of the highest quality. I carve abstract forms inspired by nature and a fundamental love of material. I love working on exciting new projects, especially at monumental proportions.
Both marble and bronze suit the monumental and the intimate alike, indoor and outdoor. These materials play with light in unique ways, drawing in, curving shadow and giving reverence to its
architectural surrounds. My marble comes from the same quarries Michelangelo discovered in Pietrasanta and my working process reflects his own, using the same tools and carving methods.

‘The Bather’ is an exploration of light and form. The movement of the piece is reminiscence of the movement of the sea. It is as though waves caress a reclining figure. ‘The Bather’ is the centrepiece for an entrance way in Mosman, Sydney.

‘Ula’ was commissioned for Bei Wu Sculpture Park in Germany. This piece is inspired by the ocean, the curl of a wave and the passage of the wind.
‘Opa Tom’ is a series of nine works commissioned for a collector in Holland who celebrated his 75th birthday by gifting each of his grandchildren with a sculpture to inspire a new generation of art appreciators.

‘Dancer by the Sea’ is a figure sized bronze piece inspired by the windswept Sydney coast. It is in an edition of eight, with two placed in private collections in Hong Kong and Sydney.
‘Bird in Flight’ was on public display at Sculpture by the Sea, Bondi, Australia’s most celebrated outdoor sculpture exhibition. This piece encapsulates the spirit of the land and the sky. ‘Bird in Flight’ now has a home overlooking Sydney Harbour.
