Les Saintes Maries de la Mer

I have been working on a series based on the stories in our area of Mary Magdalene. Near to where we live is a beautiful rocky escarpment clothed by an ancient sacred forest that is said to have harboured Mary Magdalen in the last 30 – 40 years of her life. The stories go, that Mary Magdalene, along with the two Saints Mary Salome and Mary of Clopas, arrived miraculously on the shore in the south of France after being set adrift by boat from Alexandria in Egypt.
