Invited by Jan Oluf Willums of the Willums Art Foundation to live and work at Mas des Graviers at the footstep of Cezanne's Mt Saint Victoire in Provence, France.

"I love art and I love to have artists stay and create while living at Mas des  Graviers. In 1996 I discovered the sculptures of Shona Nunan and invited her and her husband, Michael Cartwright, also an artist, to come and live and work at the Mas.  Their relaxed and creative approach to the commissions I ordered made the process an enjoyable and easy one, from designing our wine labels together over dinner to the sourcing of local bronze foundries for casting the sculptures and then the final installations.

Shona and Michael, through their dedicated and collaborative approach to Art with the collector, have gone onto larger projects around the world, and I am happy to have been part of that progress."

"One day we were having lunch with our photographer in Melbourne, Australia when we stated we desperately needed to get away and experience a new country, preferably France...... We arrived home after the lunch to find a fax waiting for us from our Gallery in Hong Kong (Sandra Walters Galley). They had had a collector drop into the gallery saw our work and invited us to his Mas in Provence to work for three months........we said YES"
